Debbie CookThank you for exploring Chesapeake Academy via our school’s website!

Chesapeake Academy is dedicated to our mission to “prepare each student for future academic, ethical, social and physical endeavors in an intellectually challenging environment”. The Academy is a place in which a strong liberal arts curriculum is offered within a community that provides nurture and support while preparing our students for life-long learning. At Chesapeake Academy, friendship and consideration for others thrives, and leadership and responsibility develop.

We value the interconnectedness of student, parent and teacher. Through these strong and nurturing relationships, students’ self-confidence is raised leading to greater academic and personal achievement.

Our visual and performance arts program encourages self-discovery and creative expression. The athletics program develops both personal fitness and character through a variety of team and individual sports and activities.

We are connected to the greater community through service opportunities. Our students learn that service to others is an important and fulfilling response to our local, regional and global “neighbors”.

While our cornerstone is academics, many opportunities for learning are provided. I am delighted that you are visiting our website and encourage you to visit campus and spend a day with us. You will be amazed at the value-added programs that our experienced faculty provide to encourage Chesapeake Academy students to excel.
